How to Batch-Scan a Pokémon Collection in Cardemon

Sitting on boxes of cards? Learn an efficient batch-scanning workflow in Cardemon to identify, grade-estimate, and organize at scale.

The Cardemon Team1 min read

Large collections punish perfectionism. The goal of a first pass is coverage, not museum curation.

Setup for speed

  • Clean, even lighting
  • Clear phone lens
  • Soft sleeves for cards you will handle a lot
  • A sorting tray for "scan now," "bulk later," and "flagged valuable"

Workflow

  1. Pull a small stack (10–20 cards).
  2. Scan front and back of each in Cardemon.
  3. Immediately place keepers into binder targets or a graded-candidates pile.
  4. Do not stop to deep-research every common mid-stream.

Flag rules

Create simple flags: vintage holo, modern chase, possible gem, needs research. Flags prevent second full sorts later.

Second pass

After the bulk is logged, return to flagged cards for comps and submission decisions.

Ergonomics

A chair, table height, and card stand beat scanning on a couch. Comfort is what lets you finish 200 cards instead of quitting at 40.

Backup the work

After a long session, make sure your Cardemon collection state is intact and your physical piles match the digital binders before you put everything away.

Batch scanning turns chaos into data. Cardemon is built for that loop — identity, grade estimate, and collection organization in one place.

Get more from every scan

Photograph front and back, keep lighting consistent, and file the card into the right binder immediately after the result appears. The power of Cardemon compounds when scans become a workflow — identity, grade estimate, value context, and organization — not a one-off novelty. Re-scan premium cards before big submissions or sales so your decision uses fresh information.
