Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cardemon("Cardemon," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cardemon mobile application and the cardemon.appwebsite (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Card photos and images

When you scan a card, you provide photos of the front and back of the card. These images are processed by our AI grading and identification systems to estimate condition, identify the card, and generate a value range. Images you choose to save are stored with your collection so you can revisit them.

Account information

We use Sign in with Apple and a secure backend (Supabase) for authentication. Depending on how you sign in, we may receive your name and email address (or an Apple-relay email if you choose to hide it). We use this to create and secure your account and to sync your collection across devices.

Purchase information

If you buy a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple and managed through our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status and purchase history, but we do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Usage and device data

We collect limited technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, crash logs, and feature usage to keep the Service reliable and improve it over time.

User-generated content

If you post cards or comments to the community feed, that content — and your chosen display name — may be visible to other users.

2. How we use your information

3. AI processing of card images

Card images are analyzed by automated computer-vision systems to estimate condition and identify cards. We may use de-identified or aggregated image data to improve the accuracy of our grading and identification models. Grades and values produced by the Service are estimates for informational purposes only and are not certified by any official grading company.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, including:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and collection data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual cards at any time, and you can request deletion of your entire account and associated data by contacting us. We may retain certain records as required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and continually improve our security practices.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA). To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@jhobbie.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Deleting your data

To delete your account and associated data, email info@jhobbie.com from the address associated with your account, or use the in-app account deletion option where available. We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable time.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International users

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app.

12. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at info@jhobbie.com.
